NEED A LITTLE REMINDER?

Your personal assistant

If you have a lot to keep track of, you may appreciate a little friendly reminder now and then. With Dental Office Manager II as your own personal assistant, you have all the help you need.

All three Dental Office Manager II products have an integrated system of notes, reports and automatic reminders to help keep you and your staff on top of things.

Better than a string around your finger

First, take a look at Tickler Notes. Tickler Notes are a reminder system that can be used throughout the program to help you remember tasks on specific dates. Each staff member can have their own individual reminder list. Tasks can be patient related, such as "Call Mrs. Smith to schedule her crown prep now; she is back from vacation". They can also be office related, such as "Send out patient birthday cards for the week".

The system can be set up so that each morning when you start up the program, it automatically prints out the list of tasks for the day. You can also go to the Tickler Notes at any time, and edit, delete notes, or print out the list.

Notes entered for a patient are cross referenced with that patient, so they can be viewed as part of the patient's record, in addition to one of the items on the Tickler Notes report.

Impress your patients

Nothing expresses your concern for the patient better than a post operative phone call after a difficult or lengthy procedure. So, during the day, you may want to use the Post Op Note feature. This reminder note is triggered by the procedure codes you enter. It prompts you to assign a staff member to make a post operative phone call later that day or evening. The report lists each patient's phone number, and the procedure performed that day. It is sorted and printed with a separate page for each staff member.

Just like cue cards

Next, take a look at the A/R Note. It appears on the Main Patient screen in red (Standard and Gold products). This note can be used to remind you of financial arrangements you have made with the family. It pops up in a dialog box whenever a procedure, payment or adjustment is entered on the account. The user must answer the dialog box before moving on. This comes in handy during patient check out; you can be SURE that the message will get your attention right when it is important.

The personal touch

Finally, in case your patients need a friendly little reminder, there are Custom Statement Messages. You can enter an individual message for each family account. It will replace or print in addition to your usual statement messages. It can be set to print indefinitely, or to stop printing by a specific date.
